When I started Inspiralist a few months ago, I decided to use a great free wordpress theme from the fantastic WP Shower so I could spend the time to design and build it so it would look and work the way I wanted it to.
It was after all created as a central repository for myself, first and foremost, to upload and store inspiration and resources that I have gathered and stored on various hard drives.
After a few weeks of design iterations and late night coding, the new look and feel went live and I am incredibly happy with the bold and bright typographically rich design.
