Inspiralist.com - my digital scrapbook for storing inspiration and creative stimuli.

For a long time I have found myself storing creative inspiration and stimuli on various computers and hard drives. I had decided that enough was enough and I really needed to centralise my digital scrapbook. So I created Inspiralist, a place for me to upload the ideas I have already found and stored as well as the new ideas and sources of inspiration I will find.

Inspiralist is intended to really be a place for me, for now, but I want other people to be inspired by what is being created for the web just as much as I am.

Visit Inspiralist, and let me know what you think.

I am the sort of designer that keeps a digital scrapbook on every computer I use. Sometimes they are sync, but in most cases they aren’t. I’ve got clippings on Evernote, icons in Dropbox and an extensive categorised collection on my work and home computer. So how many times do I need something, and realise I can’t access it? Alot is the answer. So my new mini project is setting up a digital inspiration library online. In the vein of speckyboy or smashing magazine, I can use it to store things I find, upload resources from around the web and basically be the place I go to when I need something specific or when I don’t.

I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel with this digital scrapbook, it’s just something I desperately need to do, so watch this space. And maybe it’ll provide others with great sources of inspiration. Here’s hoping anyway.

The domain name is purchased, the site is being built and I’m hoping by the end of the week, I should be good to go live. Will just need to make some sense of all the various screenshots and folders I have lying about the place.
